Overview

Elizabeth Ellington Kemp is an attorney in Griffith Davison’s Dallas office, where she focuses her practice on construction, real estate development and business transactions. She has spent nearly a decade advising clients at every stage of the project lifecycle—from acquisition and structuring through execution and exit. Elizabeth brings a unique blend of regulatory, transactional, and governance experience to her practice. She regularly counsels developers, investors, and closely held companies on entity structuring, risk allocation, contract negotiation, and compliance. Her background advising corporate clients on governance and regulatory matters allows her to anticipate issues before they arise and to structure deals that are both efficient and durable.

Elizabeth is known for her detail-oriented approach, strong negotiation skills, and ability to manage moving parts across multiple stakeholders. Her practice is grounded in building trust, fostering meaningful relationships, and delivering clear, practical guidance in complex, high-stakes environments. She prioritizes long-term partnerships with her clients, offering not just legal counsel, but a steady, trusted presence throughout the lifecycle of a project.

Prior to focusing on private practice, Elizabeth served in a senior advisory role at the federal level, where she worked on matters involving statutory interpretation, regulatory enforcement, and formal opinion drafting. This experience sharpened her ability to navigate complex legal frameworks and provide strategic, solutions-oriented advice under pressure.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking, reading, hiking, and traveling.
