GDS Attorneys Receive Board Certification in Construction Law in Texas
Griffith Davison, P.C. is pleased to announce that four of its attorneys have achieved Board Certification in Construction Law from the Texas Board of
Legal Specialization. Scott Griffith, Kimberly Davison, Stewart Shurtleff, and Jason Cagle each received Board Certification in Construction Law.
Kimberly Davison is the first and only attorney in Texas to achieve Board Certification in both Commercial Real-Estate Law and Construction Law.
The Texas Board of Legal Specialization is authorized by the Supreme Court of Texas to certify attorneys who have demonstrated a special competence in
a particular area of the law. To become Board Certified in an area of the law, an attorney must have devoted a substantial amount of his or her practice
to that particular area of law, attended extensive continuing legal education in that area of practice, obtain the recommendations of peers, and passed
an extensive written examination demonstrating advanced knowledge of the law applicable to that area of practice.
According to the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, "Board Certification is a mark of excellence and a distinguishing accomplishment."
Less than one-tenth of 1% of the attorneys in the State of Texas have attained Board Certification in Construction Law. We are proud to have four of them
at Griffith Davison.
